Today we were walking to a trail that did bring MLH to the path that took us next to Hamanatua stream. We had to open the gate to get in, then there was a river crossing. Me and my friend jumped and cleared it, yuss we both were proud of it! Laughing together, we were watching other people doing the jump and some made it and some did not make it.  One person made it, but their bag did not, it fell into the stream. Hilariously, another person fell into the stream and everyone was cracking up. So he had to go for the rest of the walk wet. 

Next, there was a very muddy spot and more and more, I think you get the point now. So then we were sliding on a downhill spot, then there was a flat spot. 

While we were walking through the mud, we learned where Hamanatua begins and that valleys send water down into it and other streams lead into it too.

Cross Country

Today we did Cross country today is Wednesday 15.9.2021. As I walked to the starting line I got ready,on your marks,get ready,GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! I started to run along the track at first it was fin until I pulled my muscle in my ankle in the start of the second lap. But in the first lap I was doing very good until disaster struck. It was getting harder and harder. 

When we were practicing for cross country lockdown came so we had no practice for the cross country but I came 4th or 5th.

Zoom calls have pros and cons:

PROS  

So you can hold meetings with up to 100 people for up to an hour. You can present\share to everyone by clicking the share button. You can also put the hand up button to ask a question ect. There are also more settings you need to expand the screen to see more people.

CONS

If you have to many people it starts to lag and glitch. Do not use the backgrounds because it makes your screen glitch a lot and they make your arms disappear.

I am lucky to do some school work because some kids forget how to do some things. 

COVID-19

Tuesday 17.8.2021 midnight lock down

We have to wear masks at the supermarket but we are lucky. Because my cousin in Berlin has to wear a mask the whole time he is at school. He also has to get three covid tests a week. They are quick tests. We can go for walks on the beach and most of us have backyards where we can play. So lockdown is not so bad for us.

I hope we can go back to school soon so I can see my friends. I also miss playing on the playground. We have to do 4 workshops at school but in lockdown we have to do 5 workshops. But at home - without distractions - so you get work done quicker

Today we fixed a bike tyre/inner tube. First we needed a bike we got one it was a bmx first we needed to take off the rim from the bike. Then we took the tyre off the rim and we saw the inner tube. WE used a special tool to get the tyre off the rim. So we got one hole when really we but 15 or something we but the tyre on and pumped it up then when we where putting on the tyre and it was flat now we had to redo it.

This week at group we are doing a olympic report my subject was Bmx racing. We had to plan on a hamburger not a real hamburger that would be a waste of food. I have started writing all ready on my chromebook.

We had to research a lot I chose the wrong topic I was going to do bmx freestyle. But I made it work my paragraphs are about the bikes,track,bmx is different. So that is my report.

Next week I am hoping to finish. Then I will put the report on Blog. I am working as hard as I can.

This week we have been doing a olympic booklet it is fun but not at the same time. I have been doing it and I saw anime (NOO!!!) this was not good I do not know how to draw this. My anime was not so good but I am glad that I tried my best and I am happy I did it.

I chose Sarah Walker as my new zealand athlete. She is a bmx racer at the olympics and she has won seven races in the 2008 olympics and lost one race she won gold. So far I am going good and my class have 2/3 weeks to finish so I am hoping to get it finished by then.
